Our client is a well-established mining company in the Philippines.
They are seeking a Head of Finance & Accounting to lead its accounting operations, financial compliance, and reporting. Based in Makati, this role requires periodic site visits to Davao to oversee financial controls and ensure accurate reporting at the mining operations level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee accounting functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, and cost management.
- Ensure adherence to Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and mining industry regulations.
- Manage internal controls, audits, and financial risk assessments.
- Supervise site-based accounting teams and ensure accuracy in operational financial reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders for financial compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- CPA qualification required, with at least 10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Extensive experience in accounting within the Philippine mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting, and cost accounting for mining operations.
- Proven ability to lead accounting teams and implement financial controls.
- Willing to travel to Davao for site inspections as needed.
