Head of Retail Leasing & Business Development

Our client is a leading developer of master-planned communities in the Philippines.

They are looking to hire a Head of Retail Leasing & Business Development to drive the growth and transformation of their retail properties. The role centers on redeveloping and revitalizing existing retail spaces, overseeing the entire process from concept to leasing and tenant onboarding, and creating high-end, thriving retail destinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead operations of retail spaces, ensuring profitability and sustained growth.
• Conduct market research to identify retail trends and optimize tenant mix for maximum consumer appeal.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans for retail properties.
• Oversee the redevelopment of retail spaces, including design, construction, and tenant build-out, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Secure and negotiate leases with corporate and retail tenants, focusing on aligning the retail mix with target demographics.
• Implement a strategic tenant mix to maximize customer experience, foot traffic, and sales performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, stakeholders, and potential tenants.
• Stay ahead of retail property trends, consumer behavior, and tenant preferences to drive innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 20+ years in commercial leasing, with a strong focus on retail business development, and at least 10 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in strategic retail planning, leasing, and tenant mix optimization.
• Data-driven with exceptional market analysis and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities, particularly within the retail sector.
