Sustainability & Compliance Manager

The role is for a leading sustainable real estate developer in Metro Manila.

The Sustainability and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company’s real estate projects comply with local and international sustainability regulations, environmental policies, and green building standards. This role involves monitoring regulatory changes, overseeing the compliance program, and driving initiatives that align with the company’s commitment to sustainable development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, building codes, and sustainability regulations in the Philippines from national and local guidelines & requirements and monitor sustainability certifications*.*
• Assess energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management strategies for ongoing and upcoming projects and work with project teams to integrate sustainable design principles into real estate developments.
• Liaise with government agencies, industry groups, and non-governmental organizations on sustainability compliance.
• Educate internal teams on environmental regulations, sustainable practices, and CSR.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Certification in sustainability or compliance (e.g. BERDE Professional, LEED AP, EDGE Expert) is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 3-5 years of experience in sustainability compliance, environmental management, or green building certification processes.
• Experience working with real estate developers, design or construction firms, or regulatory agencies in the Philippines will be advantageous.
